These radio frequencies are used by the micro chip to transmit the signals that have to be received by the software installed in the vehicle. Once the signals are received, the software verifies the code of the keyless remote. If matched, the installed software responds to the remote and perform the various predetermined functions in the car. If the code does not matches with the one specified, it fails to perform any of the functions.

The keyless remote entry works as an ideal tool for some extra security. Even if somebody gets successful in breaking inside your car, they will not be able to steal it, as the car will start with no other key, except its own.
