How to connect dvd player to tv that has 1 coaxial outlet only?

I have a converter for my tv. I bought a RF modulator. Do I need another cable or two to make it work? Instruction comes with the dvd player is very confusing. Picture or diagram would help greatly. Thanks.

hook up a three wired RCA patch cord between the output jacks of the DVD (the yellow, red and white ones) and the input ones (same colors) on the RF modulator. Then hook a coax cable from the RF jack on the back of the modulator to the one on the tv. Put the tv on channel 3. This will allow you to watch the DVD player. You may want to install a RF A/B switch in-between the modulator and the tv, so you can hook up a cable input. Then by switching the A/B switch from one side you can watch DVD and the other to watch your normal tv channels.

So in total you will need one three wired RCA patch cord, two coax cables and one A/B switch
